Book Summary

PLOT OVERVIEW

The story will begin with a prologue where Margo and Vera will be on the ocean cliff panting. Margo had sensed that his time was up and his rogue daughter, Hun, was coming for him. he had retreated to the ocean cliff to give her one last fight, a fight he knew he could not win. On cliff, while he waits for Hun to surface, he tell Vera to watch over his other daughter, Sierra and to also train her and teach her to use her powers. Margo explains that Sierra is their only hope as her power is the only one that can conquer that of Hun.

While they are still talking, Margo senses Hun’s presence and asks Vera to hide while he confronts his daughter. Hun is a djinn and hence, can shape shift and also hid her presence from mortal eyes. Unfortunately, even her father cannot see her when she does this. Out of nowhere, with only the breeze to give Margo any signal, he is choked at the neck by his daughter, who hurls insults at him as she chokes him to death.

After killing, Margo, Hun retreats from the cliff, carrying with the dead man’s body away with her.

End of prologue

Main story begins with Vera leaving the ocean cliff after seeing all that had happened, including Hun’s murder of her father. Armed with this information and also with the instruction from their father, Vera looks for Sierra and hides her away. Vera explains all that just happened to her and promises to protect her and teach her how to use her powers effectively to defeat Hun who will not stop killing until Sierra was dead.

On their way away from Sierra’s house to a secured place, they are attacked by Hun. While they try to escape, they are separated. Sierra finds herself alone and afraid. She had a lot of powers but did not know how to use them. While trying out her powers, she summons Vera and he suddenly appears to her.

With that incident, they know that Hun is after them already and Sierra really needs to learn how to use her powers fast. While they learn, Vera tells Sierra stories about her father and her mother, how they met and how they came together and how Sierra and Hun were born.

Unknown to them, while this is going on, Hun has been killing everyone in Sierra’s kingdom. This is because Sierra’s father is dead and Sierra herself is not on the throne so there is almost no authority anywhere. Hun desecrates the land, destroying homes with her magical power.

After a few days training and learning, Sierra decides to step out of their hiding only to find her kingdom in smoke. In rage and anger, she rushes out of hiding and goes into the city, with her power, she rebuilds the kingdom, healing those whom Hun had rendered ill with her dark powers.

Then she goes to confront Hun. Hun know Sierra is powerful so she avoids her. Sierra searches for her everywhere but Hun is nowhere. Against Vera’s advice, she goes to Hun’s lair and finds her there. after fighting for almost an hour with nothing both exhaustion on both sides, Hun, being a djinn spirit escapes to the spirit world. Vera advises Sierra not to go to the spirit world since she is yet to master her powers. But Sierra ignores Vera and with one wave of her hand and a swirl, she disappears to the spirit world to confront Hun and bring justice to her.

Sierra: young girl with telepathic powers. she can communicate with the death, make others Do things and move objects. Margo’s daughter and Hun’s sister. She has power both in the mortal and spirit world.

Hun: Sierra’s half sister who is full djinn and she has killed her father in order to take over his kingdom. She has more power in the spirit world.

Vera: Sierra’s watcher and trainer.

Margo: Sierra and Hun’s father.

Story Setting: Spirit world, Margo’s kingdom, Monterey, CA, USA.
